SUMMER PICNIC - JULY 8th 2010

Hampers and Champers

As has become a tradition of the u3a Calpe, instead of a General Meeting in July everyone is invited to bring along their own food and drink to socialise with other members and enjoy the fun at the annual picnic, which this year was at the La Cometa picnic area. Everyone met, on July 8th at 4pm to avoid the heat of the midday sun, but it was still extremely warm...over 30 degrees

The more resourseful members had brought along their umbrellas for a bit of shade! Once the picnic was over the fun began with Mary organising some Scottish Country Dancing in a shady part. Some other picnickers on the site were encouraged to join in........which I think was a "new experience" for them! The less energetic were playing some sort of strange cricket type game. Then it was time for a "sing song" of all our favourite tunes. A good time was had by all who attended.
