SUMMER LUNCH - JUNE 2009

Following on from the success of last year's "themed" Summer Lunch, this year's lunch was themed as a 60's "do".

Guests were asked to search in the back of their wardrobes or raid the local Charity Shops to find the type of thing that we all wore in the 60's or even the 70's. It was good that so many members made the effort to wear something appropriate which made for a really great atmosphere.

The lunch was held at the Calpe Park Restaurant and even though the meal was not up to the standard which was ordered, I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

A photo shoot was taken outside the restaurant for some of those that came in "appropriate" gear.......

........followed by a competition to choose the best costumes.

....and the winners were........Keith Cherry and Val Osborne. Well done to both of you!!!

The afternoon was completed by dancing to 60's music.
