IMPORTANT NOTICE - (research by Rod Anderton ) Please note due to the cost of coach transport we now need 40 bookings for Theatres to keep costs of transport down. For this reason we are suggesting that private cars or shared taxis be used for Theatre trips. Please state when booking if you can give a lift or need a lift. THANK YOU.
A coach has been booked for the group who are going to Yecla, bodega Daniel Castano, on March 10th - the cost is 40 euros which includes the coach trip, a visit to the vineyards, a talk in English and a tasting supervised by Raquel from the Bodega. Afterwards we are having a meal, chosen by us, cooked by their staff on the premises, in the dining room also accompanied by further wines.
The bodega has a good reputation and its wines receive high praise from wine guides. We will be tasting a variety from their nine wines on offer - mostly they use the monastrell grape and also a white chardonnay, a syrah, and a mixture of garnacha and cabernet sauvignon grapes. A wine of theirs was selected at the wedding of the prince of Spain.
We hope the trip will be informative and entertaining and that we all enjoy a good day - maybe we will also come back knowing a little more about the wine industry. Full payment due when booking at the meeting, or next day at the bank.

Footlights Theatre Group are presenting their spring production of the musical revue “Cowardy Custard”, described as a glamorous revue of the life, times and music of the playwright, composer, director, actor and singer, Sir Noel Coward (1899 – 1973).
There will be two performances on 14 and 15 April in Moraira, followed by 16 April in Alfaz del Pi. All performances begin at 8.00pm. Tickets 12 €uros each.
