When we arrived at the Esmeralda Hotel for our evening of fun, we were greeted with a sumptuously laid dining room. A most welcome sight. Everyone arrived excitedly expectant of the night ahead. The meal, service and ambience provided by the Esmerelda was the Best Yet...
After our meal we went down to the Blue Bar where THE SHAMROCKERS and Aileen were waiting to entertain us and teach us a few Dances. Those that did not dance were entertained by the antics of the (Dancers???) on the floor , who were having great fun ( getting things all wrong).
Because it was June and the exodus from Calpe to England was under way we thought our turn out was good. But Esmerelda can cope with double if not triple the number we had!
It is a shame for those of our members who missed out on this fun event, but we hope you will want to try the next U3A function to be held Dec/Jan time.
If any of you have ideas for themes, or function places big enough to accomodate us all comfortably, please do not hesitate to put your suggestions to the committee.
