In general a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 20% or 50 Euros pp, which ever is the greater, must be paid IMMEDIATELY where there are hotel bookings, the balance to be paid not later than three weeks before departure. All payments to be made into the Travel Account, number ending 5263, Barclays Bank in Calpe. Please state clearly your name, membership number, the destination and date of the trip.
Hotel stays normally include dinner, bed and breakfast, with the price, per person, for two people sharing. There is generally a supplement for single occupancy. This is quoted separately.
When making a reservation please complete the form fully and legibly – name, membership number, telephone number and pick-up point, E for Esmeralda Hotel, from where all trips start at the time stated, and T for Bar Texas, Avda Europa, which is a pick-up point a few minutes later. Adding your name to the list constitutes a reservation.
Seating is generally by lottery.
Guests are welcome on trips and pay a small supplement of €5 per day, but members take priority. The Waiting List is for names of non-members and members’ guests, and they will be informed nearer the event date if space is available.
Refunds may be given for cancellations under only exceptional circumstances, at management discretion, and if there are funds available for that particular trip. For day, evening and one night stands it is a case of TURN UP or PAY UP. Answer phone messages, text messages and emails are NOT acceptable for bookings or cancellations
As each trip is self financing, minimum numbers of people booking are required.
People are responsible for their own insurance on all trips.
Paid up members take priority and non members will only be accepted if places are available and with a an additional supplement.
La Moresca is a 7 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa for 14 people situated in Montecatini Tuscany, 40km from Pisa, 29km from Lucca. Full details can be found on villa-charme property-id 13454. and will also be available at February Meeting. The price is €250 per person per week, self catering, travel to be arranged by Group participants, (by car, car/ferry/ or by air with Car Hire from Pisa Airport?). A one night stand at the 16th Century mansion hotel Albarracin in the Moorish town of that name which is considered to be the least visited but most beautiful village in Spain - according to the tourist professionals. It really is a fantastic spot. € 85 for hotel and coach.single supplement € 21. Leave Esmeralda 9.0 a.m. PLEASE travel light.
Remember Cenajo? Last September? This September we will be staying at a sister hotel, the Spa Costa Naranjas in Los Acazares under the same conditions - no charge for accommodation, you only pay for your food. and the coach. Price € 105 p.p.Los Acazares is on the edge of the inland sea - the Mar Menor wich is always 5 degrees warmer than the Med. Lots of interesting places and a wonderfull chance to sample a free mud bath "guaranteed to cure all ills" .......Price €105 for hotel and coach. No single supplement. Leave Esmeralda 9.0 a.m.
Sunday 26th, Travel from Calpe to Chinchon, lunch on way, arrive 17th Century Parador Monastery for 1 night with Dinner. After breakfast, next day to see Chinchon, and continue to Salamanca to Hotel for 3 nights. Tour the many ancient buildings, monuments, Cathedral and monasteries, the University quarter - one of the oldest in the world and the beautiful Plaza Mayor and the Roman Bridge both considered the best in Spain. 1/2 day visit the walled city of Avila and on the morning of Day 5 start for home staying for 1 night in Lagunas de Ruidera area on the way for Dinner and Hotel. Day 6 after breakfast tour the Lagunas and continue on to Calpe (stops for lunch etc) arriving evening.
